Review, Dell SP2008WFP 20-inch Widescreen Silver Flat Panel LCD Monitor User Reviews: | | | | | Simply amazing/great price! | | Review By: Airforcejohn on Dec. 2, 2007 | | Good: Superior vivid color/deep black blacks/fluid motion | | Bad: Rock solid and wide stand has no vertical adjustment | Review Summary: I am a retired Air Force officer who loves new IT developments and following LCD technology -- I was in charge of computer hardware purchasing. Most of us were satisfied with 15" monitors years ago, but as the software industry developed and gave us detailed and more complex programs we not only wanted a better picture, but faster response rates and wider screens. I find 17" monitors to be too restrictive on viewing wider home pages of most web sites, too narrow for even the basic email sites, and rediculously small and too slow for most games. This Dell 20-inch widescreen is perfect for me. I looked at many 22 and 24 widescreen monitors as well, but the contrast ratio and response rates were all inferior. Also, I found the 24-inch too large for routine computer work. It can actually slow you down as you scan such a large screen and I was disappointed with the picture detail on the larger screens. The vivid color and the HD-quality picture of the SP2008WFP is the best I have seen to date. I suggest you carefully shop, don't be too quick to spend too much for the wider and slower monitors. This is one beautiful monitor! I am very very pleased. Good shopping! | |
