Review, Sony REFURBISHED - Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera DSC-H3/B User Reviews: | | | | | great camera | | Review By: plomotech on Nov. 27, 2007 | | Good: 10X zoom, small size, lithium battery, high quality optics | | Bad: should come with A/C charger | Review Summary: I wanted something small enough to carry all the time, but powerful enough to get in close. Most of the smaller cams are only 4x and that is not enough for me. But this Sony is 10X and is only a little bigger than one of those mini cams. Picture quality is amazing, and for a non SLR I think this is the best digital on the market for pic quality. The burst mode it as good as cams I've seen at twice the price, and the sports mode is highly impressive for action shots. There are some great options for scenes, such as snow, water, twilight, soft portrait etc... it also has a manual setting where you can adjust everything manually for a still shot. And WOW is this battery impressive, I can take 300-400 pics on ONE single charge. That is impressive and I don't know how Sony did it. I would say getting a spare battery pack would be good since it won't take AA if you need a bail out while on the road or something. You can get the extra battery for 50-bucks which is probably less than you'd spend on AAs for most models. I'm not a fan of the AA ONLY trend going on, I like the pack charger option. And this is the slickest charger I've ever seen on ANY device EVER.... it is so small you could slip it into your jeans pocket no problem and it has NO WIRES. It plugs right into the wall directly. This little Sony keeps impressing with the high quality lens on here, this lens is probably worth the price of the camera, simply amazing. I've been taking pics for 40 years and this little camera is the best all around little unit I've ever had for all around fun. It also has optional lenses that can zoom you in even more, and filters and stuff so it is expandable too. I love it. | |
