 Summary: Three months ago I ordered an Alienware Area-51 machine. It shipped with a missing part. Despite assurances that I would get the part in two days, a week went by and I received the part. The machine ran for less than a week and crashed. These things happen and I don't blame Alienware for this. Phone support could not fix the problem, so another board was sent out. Despite assurances that I would get the board in two days, another week went by. The board arrived but the local tech who was to install it didn't bother to call for another week. When the tech couldn't fix it, Alienware issued a return shipping label. It took another week for the machine to get back to their repair shop even though Alienware said it would be shipped 2nd day. Five weeks have gone by since the machine crashed and I still don't have a machine. That's inexcusable. So are constant lies and nonsense excuses these customer "service" reps peddle. Talk about lousy customer support! These guys are setting new records! |

 Summary: I purchased a 51-m 766 laptop almost nearly three years ago. After the first year I wanted to get a new keyboard. Alienware told me they didn't have any and I would need to contact/purchase it from another company. This was total crap to me but I figured oh well it's just a keyboard.
Just the other day my laptop died and I believe it is related to my video card. Of course I called Alienware and they told me that my model is outdated and there was nothing they could do for me as they no longer carry parts nor support it. I asked them if I could just purchase a video card and they said they don't have any for it. I've scoured the net looking for a replacement video card, after all it IS suppose to be UP-GRADEABLE, but cannot find one for the life of me. It is obviously a total marketing scam when they sell you on being able to upgrade your video card, but yet you can't buy one at all.
After numerous calls to Alienware they told me to contact one of two other vendors who might be able to help me. Here it is three years later and my 3,000 laptop is only useful as a door stop. You would think for that kind of money you would get top level customer service but trust me you DONT.
So, I've contacted both of these companies and one has said they can't do anything and the other is a maybe. I've got to ship it off for who knows how long to some anonymous company and just hope I get it fixed and returned safely.
Don't make my mistake and think because you pay top dollar for a high-end computer you get top customer support. Alienware just wants to sell you a computer and have nothing to do with you afterwards. Take your money and spend it on a good dell XPS or another company that will stand behind their product.

 Summary: ive recently bought an area 51 7500 sistem, i cost me over 3000 dollars, at first they moved very fast, of course they were charging, but then i felt like nothing was going on, i email at them all the time but no answere, or some stupid response, like, "dont worry your system is going fine".
the last time ive called to see waht were happening they told me if i want to cancel my order, !after waiting for 1/2 month!, what a nerve! so the costumer servive is awful and at last i cancel my order. |

 Summary: Any rebates offered by the company are a SCAM! They still have not processed my $150 rebate and it has been over 4 months. Each time I call they give me some bull answer about how long they have to process a rebate and each call the timing is longer. |
