 Summary: I called repeatedly after placing order for order status. CS kept giving me different dates, all of which were wrong. Product just showed up one day. Product had mutliple defects, which cost us business and therefore money. After receiving the product I discovered there were some serious safety concerns with the technology. I sent the product back with letter detailing the problems, and that given the aggravation I had to endure, I should not be charged the restocking fee. After a few weeks I did get my refund and, of course, they charged the restocking fee. I also sent management some helpful suggestions to improve their CS. No reply. There are pleny of other companies out there that make quality products and appreciate customers. This isn't one of them. I highly suggest giving your money to one of those companies. I am. |

 Summary: I ordered an refurbished home theater system HTS3565 online and I got a response after 10 days that the item was not in inventory and would take a minimum of 3-4 weeks for the product availability.
I wonder how would it take 10 days for a firm like Philips just to find out that the product ordered was not in inventory ..
Customer support is awful ... Never got any reply to any e-mail sent about order status .... Pathetic service ... |

For the heavens sake, it was supposed to be a Flash Audio Video Player but we can not plug in headphones to it. What is the use of a mp3 player with its hole for headphone connection is blocked out ...

 Summary: I am sorry to see so many reviews that show Philips in such a bad light. I have done business with the outlet for many years now, and have to say that I have always been pleased with service, both on the customer side, as well as product reliability.
The only aspect of the service I found frustrating was the lack of tracking number that applied to UPS or FEDEX. The tracking number listed on the site, did not correspond to any known service.
Philips electronics has always provided products of good quality. One aspect of their business that may appear cheap from an outside perspective, is the fact that they test market many products for future patent sales. I have many items that philips does not sell or support, but where way ahead of the curve when purchased. I am now aware of that when deciding to buy.
If there are issues with this service, I hope that they heed these reviews in an effort to improve. I would hate to see a company with good products loose sales based upon the service provided by its employees |

 Summary: I've been reading a lot of reviews on this website and for a while was massively apprehensive about doing business with them. I had read reviews saying that the products were late or broken upon shipment, and the company as a whole was uncooperative and unprofessional, especially the customer service department. Now, while I can't speak to other people's negative experiences, I can say that I was blown away with how great this whole process has been!
I purchased a 42" Philips 1080p from this website for $745, delivered. That should raise some eyebrows right there, considering that price is about a third off the retail value. I called the company a dozen times, double checking prices and warranty information, and while each time I was on hold for about forty five minutes, what do you expect? This is a national company, here, not a mom-and-pop store.
The TV was shipped two and a half weeks after I ordered it, which is the only SLIGHTLY negative review I can give them. However, they TOLD me specifically it would take that long, and never backed down on their promise. When I hadn't received a shipping invoice, I called them and received one in the mail as I was on the phone.
Finally I hooked the TV up and it if marvelous. Perfect condition, no scratches or black lines, the stand is in great shape, and the picture quality is superb. All for $745!!! Most of the negative reviews appear to be from a few years old, maybe they've turned their game around? I'm suggesting this website to everyone I know!

 Summary: I just purchased a refurbished TV from the Philips outlet and had a wonderful experience. I contact their CSR's once about shipping and they gave me a great answer (after holding for about 10 minutes). My product did take a while to ship (7 days) but when it did, it arrived on-time and in perfect condition.
There was not a single scratch to be seen and the hours used...a whopping 9...yes nine hours. So no complaints there. Everything seems to be working great and I would not hesitate to buy from them again! |

 Summary: PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM PHILIPS>I have not received my LCD TV yet and I am already regretting the purchase. I am one of the thousands who ordered the big screen tvs that went on sale last week. it has been over a week and my order is still processing. I have called in thrice and every time they tell me a date that my order will ship out and it never does. I spoke to a lady Monique today and she pissed me off so bad that I decided to write this review and put her name on here. They talk like they are the most important people and like we need them. They do not realize that they have a job because of customers like us. I am not sure how Philips is still in business with such horrible customer service. |

 Summary: Purchased the dvp 5982 from philips outlet . The item shipped very quickly. Upon arrival , I found the player physically damaged - the unit must have dropped from a height to get the dent on the body as well as the scratches. However, the unit seems to be running ok - not sure though FOR how long! They packed the item in a ragged box - not even in the original opened box!
I purchased from sonystyle before and their packaging was excellent Also the refurbished sony unit was cosmetically in excellent shape as if brand new! I would strongly go for sonystyle from next time on.
So lesson learned - I would think twice before buying from philips outlet again. As the unit was low priced I decided not to go through the pain of their customer service ( based on previous posts I had a pretty good idea what would happen !). |

 Summary: Shipping took forever. They do not disclose all aspects of the warranty so, therefore, they do not honor the warranty. They will also hang up on you if you try to get them to honor the warranty. Their "authorized" service centers are crooks on their payroll that keep the customer from getting the product properly repaired. |

 Summary: I ordered a tv on 10/26/07 and recieved it on 11/3/07. I unpacked it
about a week later. Upon unpacking I discovered that it was missing the
bolts to attach it top the stand. I called support and they told me to
go to home depot and get them. Thats not what I call service at all.
Also, to top it off the "tech" on the line gave me the wrong size for
the bolts. Finally a week and about 20 calls later a new stand is
shipped out to me. In the meantime the tv has developed an issue where
HDMI port 1 does not work, support sets up a service call for 11/9/07. I
take a day off of work to meet the technician. The tech calls me a few
hours after he is supposed to be there and basically tells me there is
nothing he can do and to send the tv back, he never even comes to look
at it. I call support and they say they're going to send out a new TV,
they dont give me a confirmation number so when I call back the person
has no clue what I'm talking about. I hang up in frustration. A couple
of days later I get a call from the shipping company saying that they
have my new tv. I take a day off of work to meet them on 11/23. They
bring the tv in and it's the wrong one. It's a model about a year older
than the one that I purchased. I call on 11/23 and speak to a Sean at
the call center. He says he's going to call me back on Monday to let me
know whats going on, I call him when I dont hear back and he has no
info. I call back today and after ebing on hold for about an hour the
operator who answed the phone talks to Sean and says a TV has been
ordered. Sean does not call me back to offer any details.
I understand that this is a busy season, but this is crazy. It's been
almost a month that I've had this tv and am getting no service and my
warrenty is running out in the meantime. I expected more from a company
as big as Philips. I cant say that I will ever buy or reccomend another
Philip product again. |

 Summary: I bought a LCD TV there. The TV is not appropraitely packaged and it works. I really regret that I did not return it immediately.
After 4 monthes, The TV is dead, and I called customer support and the reply is "it is something you should prepared".

 Summary: First, I just wanted to thank everyone for their reviews. After reading the reviews, i realize that i made a huge mistake purchasing from philips outlet, so i decided to cancel my order (50inch plasma). I call philips and the operator told me he was going to transfer me to a representative that can help me, but instead he hung up on me (what a great first impression). Anyhow, i decided to call back again and this time i was able to speak to an operator. To make the long story short, the operator supposedly canceled my order, then two days later, i get a phone call from the shipping company asking me what day do i want the tv to arrive in my house. (what the F*&k).Then i had to cancel my order with the shipping company, not once, but twice. It's been two weeks and i still didn't get my money back from philips. Now i'm disputing it with the bank to get my money back...DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM PHILIPS!!! |

 Summary: Bought a refurbished 50" plasma TV on sale. Took about 10 days to deliver and had a huge stripe on the screen out of the box. After several calls to Philips and service center found out that they didn't have necessary panel replacement [took a couple of weeks for them to decide what to do]. Finally said they'd send another TV. When it arrived it looked like it had been dragged behind the back of the delivery truck. Had several deep scratches that were touched up with paint. Even had what appeared to be a burn mark in the plastic frame around the screen. Evidently the TV had been brushed against a wall, because 2 of the 5 buttons on the right hand side were extremely loose. A lot of play in them in contrast to the others. I was furious--any quality check would have entailed pushing those same buttons. I refused delivery and waited 5 days for philips to respond. Eventually had to call them. They still can't decide what to do. They want me to accept whatever crap they ship but I'm trying to get more.
Stay away from these people. They are the absolute worst!!!!!!! |

 Summary: Bought the 50in plasma. Received in a week. After delivery guy left, i set it up turned on and have big black lines thru left side ofTV. Called phone number, they told me to call another, they were closed for weekend. Great way to treat 1st time customer. To top that the TV has some serious wear and tear?? Thought refurb was going to look new, not look like it was used and beaten up!!!Look around and buy new!!!! ! One week and still waiting to have it picked up!! Do not get refund until it is received back at Phillips and put back in system!! |

 Summary: I must begin by telling you that I have bought two televisions from Philips outlet. One 36" LCD that was great, the other is a 42" Plasma that has been riddled with problems. I received the television in October of 2006 and within 2 days, it would not turn on. I had to send it to a service center who had the television for over 10 days and said that they replaced the power board. I got the television back, and within 2 weeks, it would not turn on again. I called Philips and they told me to send it to a different service center. This center discovered that there was extreme corrosion on the video board and power supply and they refused to swap the parts out because they knew they would not get paid. This went on for a full month. I would spend hours on the phone. Finally, they replaced both boards, but not before they tried to blame me for the damage. Now, I have a screen with two black vertical lines in it, and Philips is claiming I am out of warranty and no one will help me. I will never buy anything from them again. |

Two TVs were returned for the defects and the third needs to have the plasma panel replaced to fix. If you want a high quality picture Philips is not the TV to buy. |

 Summary: I am at month 4 of my purchase, do I like my TV (I don’t know it has spend 3 month and 3 weeks at the exchange department of Philips, and it’s going to be back here “just in few more days”). Be careful since some of the product sold on the outlet are REFURBISHED (that is label with tiny font saying RENEWED). The most horrible service in the galaxy, the lady on the phone cursed out my wife. I have fax and email and called Philips at least 30 times by now, including their CEOs. All that because was sold a defective unit which sound disappeared after few minutes of operating. I had taken them 2 dog years. |

 Summary: I got the subject HDTV on special, and it was in my living room less than a week later -- not too bad, esp. for free shipping on a $400 30" HDTV. Except that the TV was DOA -- I stupidly signed for it before turning it on, because I wanted to read the manual first. *Plug it in and hit the power button, at least, before you sign.*
I called tech support, who wanted me to have a local service center come look at it. Local service guy said to just return it. I called Customer Service for the online store -- very quick, polite, helpful. They just said they were really sorry it didn't work, and would send the courier to ship it back for a full refund at their expense. Courier came today, 2 business days after I made the RMA call. Worst it seems Philips did was waste my time. Still debating if I should re-order the same set or not -- if it's broken, I can always refuse the shipment this time. |

 Summary: I bought a refurbished flat plasma TV 42PF9630A/37 from the outlet store without looking into the history of the model...didn't know this model was subject of a recall as a safety risk. I had the set on for several hours when a burning smell told me something was wrong. When I lifted the TV to see what was wrong, I received an electrical shock that nearly floored me. I called Philips customer service and they told me to get it fixed. Since all outlet refurbished items are sold AS IS, no refunds or exchanges. No warranty. I would be responsible for all charges. Buyer beware. Don't waste time and money on junk from the Philips outlet store. There is no quality control whatsoever. |

 Summary: 32" LCD TV arrived with no remote, no power cord, no instruction manual, missing rear cabling cover, and a broken stand. Not quite what you would expect fron "remanufactured". I never want to hear "can I put you on hold" again. Make sure that BEFORE you sign for any product from this company, you have checked the package for all the items that belong and be certain that they are in working order even if someone is waiting. Otherwise, you will be the one waiting for costomer service. |

 Summary: I made the mistake of ordering two items from this site. The first was an LCD tv. Shipped with the wrong remote. Remote does not provide all of the functionality required. The second was a dvd recorder. DOA. Could not load a DVD. As others on this board have said, it is now my responsibility to get this dang thing fixed via their repair center. Terrible support, numerous calls to get problem resolved, and you cannot return the item if it is refurbished, even if it does not work. Just terrible. DO not shop here!! |

The repair company stated that the board was busted and it would contacts PHilips for the part. It has been two months and the repair company hasn't received anything from Philips. They are truly rip off artists. |

 Summary: I bought 26 inch hdtv when tv came to my home and i hooked it with power it did not started. so i asked customer service for money return. but they said they can not give money back i have to repair the tv. and for repair they give me phone no. i called there and they said to bring the tv there. some how i bring tv to the service center and it has been one month and the tv has not been fixed yet. So My suggestio is never ever buy from phillips outlet. I used to thaught philips is a good company but i'm afraid it is not. |

 Summary: I ordered a 27" TV from Philips Outlet. Screen had a purple shade on the right corner that would not go away. They told me it has in home service warranty whan I called their customer service. Thereafter was a horrible joke. The service centers (three different locations) I called refused to come in and look at the TV. They asked me to bring it to their shop. Excuse me but the TV weighs over 100 lb and would not fit to my car. After many calls and hassle with their customer service they sent UPS to pick up the TV and got my money back. I was lucky but I wasted hours on the phone with them and the aggrevation. Beware and do not get close to Philiphs Outlet. It is a junk yard where they sell defective merchandise under the name (factory renewed). |
