Don't use Proflowers if you care when the flowers are delivered.
Review By: SavvyShopper on Mar. 24, 2011

Summary: We paid extra for next day delivery. Proflowers shipped Next Business Day -- which is one day later, making the flowers one day late. FedEx told us it would cost $175 for actual next day delivery. Next time we'll use 1-800-Flowers: their stuff may not be as creative, but they know that ontime means ontime.

Lies and more lies
Review By: joemerchant on Feb. 15, 2011

Summary: Ordered flowers for Valentines Day. There was a $14.99 fee that stated Guaranteed Valentines Day Delivery. They didn't deliver, didn't call, didn't do anything but charge my credit card and promise to deliver. I did everything I was supposed to do. Address was correct, etc. Blamed it on a computer glitch and offered to retake the order at full price. Customer Service Rep was the most rude person I have ever dealt with on the phone reading from a script. The cake that sent me over the edge to write this review is when she stated to me that she does not work for me, she works for Proflowers. WOW! There used to be a time when customers made a difference. Now companies like this burn and churn customers to make sales to show a good bottom line. Bottom Line is I will not shop there again and I will discourage anyone I know from shopping there again.

Pricey, but good customer service, and the occasional decent deal
Review By: Jalenn on Jan. 24, 2008

Summary:

I agree with the first reviewer, that Proflowers can be pricey, mostly because of the shipping. I've used the service twice, so far. The first time, I got the bouquet of 25 Peruvian lillies for my girlfriend, with the free vase and a coupon for 20% off, I believe. With exorbitant shipping ($10), my total came to $30. That's $30 for flowers that I later realized I could find at my local grocery store for $5 dollars per 10 stems. The vase really isn't worth $9.99 either, which is of course why so many of their promotions involve giving the vase away as a free bonus.

Approximately two weeks after my order was received, I was asked to complete a survey. I mentioned in the survey that while I was happy with how long the flowers had lasted thusfar, I didn't think the bouquet was as colorful or as full as the one depicted on the Proflowers site. I indicated that I wasn't likely to buy that product again for the same price, and that I would be hesitant to recommend ProFlowers to anyone unless they had a really good coupon.

I very promptly got an email from ProFlowers customer service regarding my survey responses. In keeping with their satisfaction guarantee, I was offered a credit on the site for $30. I didn't choose the Peruvian lillies this second time, opting for 20 Blue Irises. They sent the replacement bouquet to my girlfriend on a date of my choosing. Truth be told, I was even less happy with the Irises, since it turns out they have very little shelf-life as cut flowers, but I appreciated the gesture from ProFlowers in trying to make things right.

I have used the site again, since. (I wanted to send my girl flowers, and 25 Peruvian Lillies for $20 shipped was something I could fit in my budget.) I still would only recommend them if they're doing a good promotion, though. Keep your eye out for promo codes!

Frequent Buyer
Review By: kquist on Nov. 21, 2005

Summary: ProFlowers has good quality for a decent price. I have had two problems I know of in my many orders. Sent roses: missing stems.
They refunded my money for the missing flowers. (TACKY . . . call the recipent to see what they got! ya gotta do it) Always get the free vase, by typing a name in the radio listener link: Laura, Mike, John, etc. This is the $9.99 vase you can buy at WalMart for $1.49. Shipping is $10. The flowers with free shipping are $10 more than similar bouquets. Plan on spending a minimum of $40-$50.

Never used the Florist option for same day deliver, but could see how the florist might not have the exact flowers advertised by ProFlowers.

HORRIBLE Customer Service!
Review By: Drew on Nov. 18, 2004

Summary: I ordered flowers from ProFlowers' FloristExpress.net website for same-day delivery. The order was delivered on time but was the wrong order.

I've sent two emails to their customer service group but have received NO reply whatsoever. They offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and I've requested that they either deliver the correct flowers or refund my money.

I'm not at all impressed that they have not replied at all to either email. At this point I'm going to have to contact my credit card company and refuse the charge.
