Even though Sony is a great product the company who is running sales in the USA is without competition the worst company ever. First the Sony LCD TV that I bought was not shipped for two weeks, they didnt send any updates, long phone calls to check about the status and they said that they are out of that TV, I asked to cancel and they refused because they said they have no way to do that after order is placed which is really lame. I spent over a month waiting for a TV and they kept saying that they still have not received any, I asked very nicely the customer service to help me out because I need a TV and they still have my money but all the ones I talked to which by the way seems to be talking from out of the US were all rude and none of them even said sorry for the inconvenience, I asked to transfer to a manager thinking he would be more professional but the manager was rude and he sarcastically offered me to switch the TV with a small 32" TV and told me to keep the extra money for the holiday. The only way I was able to solve the problem is by calling the credit card company and asked them to cancel the transaction. And by the way I ended up buying the same TV for $150 less from Amazon and it was shipped in two day to my house. When others warn about bad customer service, please believe it. Worked for three, yes three, hours. Completely dark, power on, no picture. Tech guy (who came out two weeks after delivery of the set): Looks like you need three new circuit boards. But, bad news is no parts are available. You'd be better off returning it.
You'd think SonyStyle would like to make that right. Right? Wrong. Over a month now, and despite numerous phone calls, emails, promises, "sorry, sirs," and stonewalling, still no resolution. No return authorization. Since the "process" has now taken over 30 days, "Sorry, you are outside the 30-day return period." Unbelievable. Small claims, here I come?
So, a very expensive dust magnet sitting in my living room. Whatever you do, don't give away your old set. Keep it as a backup, if not you'll never hear the end of it from your family (who told you so)!
