Summary: (01/16/2011): I place my order for multiple parts in order to build a new gaming desktop.---

(01/25/2011): All items arrive safely. However, I realized I ordered the wrong processor for my motherboard.---

(01/25/2011): I fill out a RA form online through TigerDirect to return the incompatible processor and separately re-order a processor that will work. Unfortunately, the site failed to produce me a RA number so I call customer service. I explain my situation to the representative (which I found to be rude and very impatient with my problem). He eventually gives me a RA number and tells me to return the item via UPS.---

(01/26/2011): The incorrect processor is shipped back to TigerDirect.---

(01/28/2011): The compatible processor arrives to my house and I piece the computer together.---

(01/31/2011): I receive an email from TigerDirect informing me that the same kind of processor I shipped back has now been re-shipped to me and charged to my account. However, the shipping information is under the representative's name I had spoken to earlier. Slightly frustrated, I immediately call customer service once more and tell them this is not my mistake and they should fix. After all, I specifically told them I wanted to return the item and NOT exchange it. The agent informed me they would intercept the package and I would no longer have to worry about it.---

(02/03/2011): The incompatible processor shows up on my front door. Now even more irritated that TigerDirect hadn't handled this situation, I call customer service for a third time and tell them I refuse to ship the package back if I had to pay for shipping. The representative immediately emails me a packing slip and informs me to send it via UPS once more.---

(02/04/2011): The second incompatible processor is shipped back to TigerDirect.---

(02/18/2011): I call TigerDirect for a fourth time asking them where the refund to my original order was. They explain to me they will credit my TigerDirect account but in order for it to appear on my credit card, I must call again in a few days in order for that to happen.---

BOTTOM LINE: TigerDirect offers a great variety of electronics and computer hardware for an amazing price; however, should the transaction go sour either on the buyer or the company end, it becomes a living nightmare. Each representative I spoke with proved to be rude, very impatient, and held a lack of understanding. This is no business that cares about retaining customer loyalty.---

I used to buy DELL all the time, and this was my first TigerDirect experience in order to save money. Needless to say, I will return to DELL since I'd rather pay for at least decent customer service then deal with a company that enjoys ruining buying experiences like this.

Good parts but poor customer service

Summary: I was charged more than the regular price, my discount was not applied and I was over charged $350 at first. I faxed a copy of the PC ad off the website to show the price I should have paid and an Excel Sheet with a break down of all costs including taxes to the sales person. He lowered the price but still over charged me almost $200. I was charged the regular price of the parts and the discount was still not applied. I faxed him the papers again, he reviewed them again and finally got it right. Also, I had to request he send me a invoice because he wasn't planning on sending me one after I placed the order. It seems strange to me that I had to request an invoice, almost as he knew I was over charged was going to wait until the payment was complete before I correct the amount. Pretty much every question I asked him took 8 - 10 minutes to find an answer and half the time his answer was "I don't know". This whole process took 2 weeks to solve, 3 weeks since I purchased the PC and I am still waiting for the refund. It will probably take a while to receive the refund because the sales person told me there is only 2 people at the company working in the refund department and there is a back log of customer to refund. The sales person also said this doesn't happen very often which totally contradicts his other statements.

Summary: Item stated "shipping in 1 - 3 business days". After I placed the order, was notified it was on backorder. But one of the CSA's replied via e-mail it would be shipped.

Now, it has a UPS tracking number but has not been picked up. Was told by CSA via e-mail that it would be traced. After calling, was told the trace was never initiated. Still has not been picked up by UPS after 6 days.

TigerDirect must be perpetually conducting inventory. It appears that they blame alot of their poor service on "we're doing inventory".

Beware of TigerDirect! I'm never shopping there again!!!

Summary: I bought a computer from the store and paid $40.00 to have them remove all the extra crap the software companies make extra money on. Of coarse, they can't get off, and delete all the drivers. Errors include annoying double beep every 15 seconds, windows 7 errors and computer not responding message. The dvd wasn't working either. So, I mess with it for 3 hours then I gave up. I take it back to the store and they tell me sorry, then charge me a 15% restocing fee or $100.00 or so and tell me that can't refund the $40.00 I paid to have them screw the computer up. So I'm out 4 hours and $140.00 for choosing to buy a computer from them. Never again... Don't make the same mistake I made.

Defective merchandise and WORST customer service ever!

Summary: TigerDirect is the worst worst worst place ever.
I ordered a laptop that turned out to be DEFECTIVE. The video card was shoddy. When I tried to return/exchange it, I got the worst runaround I have ever experienced. I was first told via I could return it if I called customer service, who then told me that the warehouse might reject the return. I emailed and was told it'd be fine I would just need to request a return label, so I did.. then I was told that I needed to call customer service again. THEN I was told it was now past the 30 days and I was no longer able to return it. This is like a health insurance company or something, I swear. EVIL EVIL EVIL. DO NOT SHOP HERE unless you want bad merchandise that you cannot return!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Tiger Direct used to have a great rep for good products, reasonable prices and good customer service.

NO LONGER!! The CSA's do not communicate well and as a consequence they're unable to provide accurate ordering information into their database resulting in the receipt of the wrong product. I ordered an 8GB memory disc and it was the wrong size despite the customer svc rep assuring me it was correct because "we sell the same scanner here at Tiger Direct." Fail!!

Returning an item is a nightmare. You're put on hold and subjected to a litany of product specials until you get tired of running out the minutes on your cell phone. Emails are not returned. If you have the audacity to return a product without the return authorization number, you're subjected to a 25% "restocking" fee.

Summary: We bought a tv and a dongle for 244.12. they shipped the tv and canceled the dongle after tv shipped and two days later. They charged us 719.99 instead. Summary: You can't rate customer service if it doesn't exist. My order got lost somewhere in their shipping process before being picked up by UPS; you can never speak to a supervisor and the staff you speak to have a limited supply of responses in cue- they are either incurious or apathetic, or simply have no support themselves- the latter, in these times, is probably the case. So- no replies and no managerial intervention for a week, stating an investigaation was in process with UPS....Ups denied this....today I called and was told my order was intercepted and will be shipped today. Again- someone was supposed to have called or emailed me since Friday...still nothing; I had to call to find out what was happening.

Tigerdirect.com does not allow UPS to leave the package in your front of door, or allow you to pick up at UPS as many companies allow. Your package will be returned to Tigerdirect.com after 3 delivery attempts. Your shipping fee will not be refunded.

Summary: Web page emphatically states online prices honored in store, however this is not the case. tried to buy a cat 6 cable that was 5.99 online, yet it was $12.99 in store!!! Same exact cable, same exact manufacturer. they said it was a different SKU number. It was the same item. That is how they get around their unfair trade practices. Screw Tigerdirect.

Summary: TD is corporate greed at it's worst! Purchased a Q-See Security Cam - defective out of box - bad hard drive and unit locks up. TD would not honor warranty unless I purchased a new unit and shipped defective one back at my expense. I had already installed cameras and cables in conduit. They talk of their great customer service - only as long as it doesn't cost them anything.

Summary: After a bad experience with TigerDirect a few years ago I thought I would give them another try, what a mistake.

The laptop was advertised in the TigerDirect add as having "Home Premium" on it. This is true it had Home Primium but it was Vista Home Premium not Windows 7. The Windows 7 upgrade is $120 extra, the laptops they are selling as NEW must have been made more than 18 months ago and have been sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

If a TigerDirect deal seems good then you have not spotted the twist. I will never deal with these people again. My first experience with them 2 years ago was similar.

Summary: While visiting a friend in Costa Rica, I decided to buy a nice gift online using my international debit card. The next day of purchase I was notified via email that Tigerdirect does not accept international debit cards. I called them after being on hold for 10 minutes resulting in a huge phone bill in Costa Rica. I immediately asked the representative to CANCEL the order to which he agreed. Three days layer I checked my savings balance account and guess what... Tiger Direct had CHARGED ME FOR THE PURCHASE. At the end I never received the product and was charged for it.

BEWARE, THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS AND SCAMMERS!!!!!

Summary: TigerDirect's service is good. Jamie was patient and listened to my tech support issues. Spent the time to read Intel's website and determine how to solve my multiple issues. She was friendly, helpful and simply a pleasant person to talk to while frustrated.
Also I would like to suggest one way to save, that is shopping online with shopping rewards. there are lots of shopping rewards site now. I like couponsavemore.com, it has no minimum payout. the shopping rewards for Tiger Direct is 1.3%

Summary: Check your order carefully. I ordered a DiabloTek Flash Card Reader (D15-3644), what I recieved was a defective Sabrent Card Reader (M501-4006). I returned the defective drive to Tiger Direct and requested a full refund including the shipping charges. Tiger Direct DID NOT refund the shipping charge for their mistake of shipping the wrong product. I will never again order anything from Tiger Direct.

Summary: Item showed "in Stock" at time we place the order. a few days later order status showed "3rd party shipper". 1 week later received order cancellation notice due to stock not available.
And this is exactly why we rarely / never purchase equipment from Tiger Direct!
Absolutely irresponsible. The site advertised the product as “In Stock” then 1 week after placing the order an e mail appears … “Oh… don’t have it!”

  • I will never order from this company again due to their incompetence.

  • Ordered a socket am2+ motherboard and am2+ cpu combo. Received an am3 motherboard and am2+ processor. Call customer support to fix the order. Customer support tells me their technicians say am2+ cpus work on socket am3 boards and that I am just installing it wrong.

  • Bottom line is AM2+ CPUs will not work in AM3 mobos and tigerdirect think they do!!!

    Summary: Feb 21, 2010 They share your credit card information with third party that will charge your credit card. Since most of people don't pay attention for small charge like $12 per month millions of people were cheated by partner of TigerDirect Complete savings. After class action against this company TigerDirect uses another preferred parnet. Watch your credit card bill if you ever did purchase with tigerDirect.

    Summary: I had bought two motherboards from TigerDirect recently. My first order was about 6 weeks ago. The first motherboard was DOA. They told me to send it to the manafacturer, and the manafacturer told me to send it to TigerDirect. The 2nd one I recieved a couple of weeks ago was defective. The onboard graphics were no good.. the monitor showed "No signal." I know my monitor works fine, so I knew it was the motherboard. Then I used a usb stick which, when connected, lights up yellow. None of the USB ports worked in the back panel either. Again, TigerDirect had e-mailed me and told me to call the manafacturer. This is terrible way to do business, especially when the economy is tough as it is. It shows how much they really care about their customers...even though the customers are the one's who keep them in business. Awful. Regrettable. I did nothing wrong, except order from them.

    Summary: HORRIBLE! Bait and switch. On the website, TigerDirect stated they had a particular Yamaha receiver IN STOCK. However, they SWITCHED the receiver and gave me an inferior model and claimed it was the same. TigerDirect did not even offer to give me anything else except a $20 credit for future purchases. I declined because I will NEVER buy from them again.

    The customer service, while not rude, was not very cooperative or forth giving to fix the issue at hand.

    I will NOT buy from them again.

    Summary: I have been using Tiger Direct for about 7 years never had a problem until now. My customers and I spent around $10000 in the past year or so. On 11-2-09 I won a pc from in the pc a day for 77 days. They will not give me what I won. I had lost my job this year and had to go with A cheaper ISP so I had to change my email address. I called and talked to a rep and was told no problem. I did not get any emails from about the prize so I called and was told I am not going to get it. You would think that with all the buisness I do with them they would get it right. Myself or any of my customers will never shop there again unless they fix this

    Summary: I ordered the item on line easily enough and was informed that it was in stock and would ship the next day. Then two days later I got an e-mail indicating that they had trouble approving my credit card and starting asking me questions like where I lived 20 years ago. Very strange although I finally got it approved. Then two days later they sent me an e-mail saying the item was out of stock and was backordered. I canceled the order (after waiting on line for 15 minutes) but could not find and confirmation of the order cancelation. Since this was a Christmas present I had to order the item from another supplier and pay extra to get it shipped in time. I would never use this store again.

    Hassles not worth the savings

    Summary: Placed order for projection screen. Ordered was "in process" for 5 days before I contacted them. They indicated they were experiencing shipping issues but they would expidite my order. Status changed to "shipped", but UPS tracking showed they only received billing information. Status did not change for days, so I contacted them again to find out why it was not shipping. Their response was they issued a credit that I would see in 3-5 business days. I replied, "fine, I'll take my money back and order a screen elsewhere". 5 business days later, I receive the screen that was supposedly cancelled. Unfortunately, I had already ordered another screen from a competent company and it arrived the same day. Now I have to return the Tiger Direct screen and wait for my refund. I have my doubts about how smoothly this will go. Bottom line, stay away from Tiger Direct.
    Incidently, the UPS tracking still shows that the screen I'm actually returning now has not yet been shipped to me.

    No Price protection guarantee and no returns

    Summary: I bought this camera on black friday for $719 thinking that tiger direct would be a good website and they will honor their price protection guarantee as well look for a bargain in this tough times. In 3 days the price dropped to $699 and I called then and email them multiple times but no response at all. I get a response today after 10 days that it was a special price and Unfortunately, price protection policy only applies to regularly advertised products and DOESN'T apply to limited time sales. That limited time sale lasted 10 days. I would have returned the product right away but they don't even take returns even when I told them that I think the product is refurbished as it a scratch. The guy on the phone said I should talk to Canon about it. I have learned my lesson not to by from cheap websites like Tigerdirect.com I hope this review will serve as suggestion to avoid this website. I am going to post this review on multiple review site to try to help other buyers from being scammed. Thanks to the power of internet I do hope to help others.

    30 days price guarantee means nothing

    Summary: I bought an AOC 30" LCD HDTV on December 2nd for $389.99, and one day later the price dropped to 379.99. I emailed to request $10 credit. I have never got a reply. On December 4th, I chat with a sale reps and ask for the price adjustment. She answers that the price guarantee applies only to regularly advertised product and not to limited time sales, instant savings offers, instant or mail-in rebates. As my item has an instant saving, she refuses to give me the credit.
    Be aware of Tigerdirect's policy wording, it is misleading and vague. This is my first purchase with Tigerdirect, and it will be the last.

    Summary: Items were ordered on November 30, 2009, and were in stock. Here it is December 3, 2009, and order is still being processed. No real person to talk to at customer service, just automated messages. Prices are good, but filling orders in a timely manner is awful. Go with www.newegg.com for fast service. Had the price not been a special one, I would have bought from Newegg. It should be noted that I have bought from Tiger Direct before and have not had this problem. Perhaps they now have the COMPUSA people running their order fulfillment program. COMPUSA was terrible to say the least. No wonder they were went belly-up. Too bad Tiger Direct bought out he mail order division. Should have gotten rid of those folks in product fulfillment.
    Good thing I am not in immediate need of this product. I wonder how they are going to ship it? Hopefully not the Postal Service. Perhaps it will come by next Christmas.
    Learned a lesson and will buy from Newegg.

    Summary: I'm a first time customer there. I ordered a notebook, paid in full with credit card. Then, I got a call on the next day saying that they got problem getting my credit card approval. Later on, they found out that they got my name wrong..duh...I put in my info online and double-checked before submitting it. Then, they promised to send it the following Monday. Fair enough at this point. No problem

    I used the tracking number they sent me and called UPS to check since they told me that they had shipped the item but I saw no update on UPS website. Called Tiger Direct, they said they would investigate it which "might take 10 days!!"
    Then, then I called the following day to see what happened. A rep said everything was sorted out. The item was shipped!!yea!! but wait.. So, I thank him only to find out that it was just another lie and lie!
    Called again, investigation follows as usual....No email from them or whatsoever
    Then, I got an email saying my order has just been placed (I received the same one the last week, but this time with different item and order number!)....Big circle!
    I called for complain politely. The rep didn't even seem care. He only said "your order WILL be shipped with unhappy tone then just silent..awkward!" This was the turn down...the delay was more acceptable, the attitude wasn't
    I'm not sure if they were dragging this on purpose because they didn't have the item in stock or just very22 poor management
    I read good reviews and bad about them, but they seem to be performing bad lately.

    Summary: I have purchased a P.C. from these people before, and was generally happy with the product. Their prices are competive, and their hook is that they try to sell you some usless software, indicating that with the re-bate it will be "free". -Always decline the offer-
    The problem is that they assure you the item you order will be shipped within a day or so. They don't give you an order number you can use with web site delivery status until the item is shipped, so your only tracking ability is after it leaves their site.
    If they do not have the item on hand DO NOT ORDER IT. They will tell you it's leaving tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.
    Here is the kicker. If you ordered the free software, they will send it to you right away, and until you return it to them, they will not give you the money back.
    If you happen to get stuck by this, ask for the number to the corp. headquarters and work your way up the food chain until some refunds the entire amount.
    You may also mention that you may file a complaint with the Better Business Bereau in both your home state and in Florida.
    The main point is to get asurances that they have the item "in-stock".

    Summary: My first experience with the store i ordered a 32' toshiba bundled with a wall mount and hdmi cable. My card was charged within 24 hours. The site said ships in 6-20 days. I found out that was because the mount was on backorder, and they refused to ship the tv and cable seperately. I also asked when would the mount be in stock and i was told in a week. A week goes by and i called again and i was told it should be in stock in a week. Seriously what legitimate merchant charges you for something on backorder when they have no intention of shipping it for weeks. Somewhere on their site i found the same mount bundled with a cable which said in stock ships today. I know it said it could take a while to ship, but their customer service sucks seriously, i could care less about the mount when i need the tv and cable asap. And the having items listed as in stock when theyre backordered is bs. a cust service rep even had the nerve to say " it mustve went on backorder after you made your order" If they even send my tv itll be the last time i shop there. The cheaper prices arent even worth the run around customer service gives you, and the slow shipping times (UPS is fast, tiger are the slow ones) funny how they paid the BBB to become accredited and have an A+ despite pending lawsuits, and many customer complaints about rebates, which the site even mentions.

    Summary: The difficulties in getting an order completed were incredible. Their credit card policies are incredulous. I have never seen an on-line store that makes it so difficult for the customer. I will never buy from TigerDirect again! While I have not received the product I finally managed to get ordered (Two days of phone calls, ridiculous requests for address verification, and a long set of "security questions" that the service representative couldn't even ask in intelligible English.) I am crossing my fingers that it actually arrives and works. It appears they take little or no responsibility for the product one purchases actually working and performing as advertised.

    Summary: The shipping is great and the prices are very competitive. But, my positive comments end there. The product that I ordered did not work because of something faulty with it. I contacted customer support and they authorized the return of the product. The problem: The made me pay to ship it back to them!     Summary: TigerDirect was once a very reliable Web Site. Recently I purchased an item that the Web Site showed had a warranty of one year. However when I received it, the warranty was only 90 days. The Web Site was corrected to show the with the 90 day warranty and when I complained to customer support they asked if I printed the original advertisement. Since I did not I was stuck with the 90 day warranty so I bought the extended warranty rather than sending back the item, it was cheaper than shipping costs. Next, I tried to purchase a Digital to Analog Converter Box using the government coupon which they Web Site indicated they accepted. No place to put in when completing the order. Called customer, they said the Web Site was not up to date, they are not accepting coupon any more. I checked any today, 6 days later and the Web Site still not updated. Now beware, if you do not have the copy of the item you bought at the time of purchase they do not honor description. Make sure you read everything before you place the order; you cannot take off coupons once you place your order. Site is having problem with false advertising.

Tigerdirect.ca refused to return it saying it has to go back direct to manufacturer - even though they have a "guaranteed 30 day return policy". Filed a BBB complaint, they refused to accept the above facts.     Summary: Long story....

    1. Bought a Sharp 52" LCD from their site. Paid $1388.97 (1,299.99 + Shipping)
    2. First LCD i got had a cracked screen. Filled a damage report and sent it back.
    3. Tiger Direct sent me a replacement but instead of asking me they went ahead and charged my credit card $1388.97 again to send a new one out and would refund my original purcahse when the got the broken LCD back.
    4. Replacement LCD had 2 bad HDMI inputs. Had to contact Sharp who sent a technician out and discovered the board was bad.
    5. I sent the replacement LCD back to tigerdirect and demanded a full refund. They said fine but it will take 3-5 business days for your credit card to be refunded.
    6. Waited 5 days, still no credit back on my card. I called customer service and they told me the credit was back on my Tigerdirect account not my credit card.
    7. They refused to transfer me to a manager
    8. Customer service rep also told me that I will get a refund for only 1,299.99$ and that I had to pay shipping?? I asked "why do i have to pay shipping for 2 LCD's that were broken?" the rep responded "because its our policy"
    9. Been about 7 days and still no refund.

    SO basically I've gone a month without a working TV, had my credit card charged close to 3 grand and still have not gotten a refund. Customer service for Tigerdirect does not care. They have bad attitudes and give you nothing but the run around. Im not sure how TigerDirect stays in business. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!

    Summary: I purchased a Sony Vaio VGN-AR820E (item #S168-17005) from TigerDirect.com on 12/1/2008. At time of ordering the item stated that they are in stock and "Availability: Order Today, Ships Today". So I made the purchase.

    After the purchase, when I check back online for order status the next day, it showed the order is on "back order". I called their customer service on 12/2/08. The rep. answered and indicated that TigerDirect is expecting another shipment "next week", and they will ship my notebook as soon as they received them.

    I checked again on 12/8 and the account still says on "back order" so I called again. This time rep. Rob says that he doesn't know when they will get this item. I told him that is not an acceptable answer since I paid for the item already. He says "you know as much as I do". So I asked him to let me talk to his manager Joe at extension x5907. After looking for a bit, Joe told me TigerDirect has discontinued this item! He can offer a similar product, an Acer laptop. I told him that Acer is not a replacement for a Sony. He then told me that sorry we can't help you any more and asked me to cancel the order...

    So they post a discontinued item for sale, wasted my time, and now I have to waite for 2-3 days to see if I get my money back!

    Summary: I ordered two mini hard drives and the sales person ignored the fact that I was only interested in mini drives and sold me a 500gb table drive, had to get a refund on it after canceling and that became a long time run around.

    Needed one more same model mini HD. ordered and when order confirm came I saw they had substituted a different brand drive. and i was to get a "easy to get" $20 rebate that was impossible to get working (before discovered substitution) Called to cancel 1st wrong drive and the sales guy found the one I wanted and then increased the price by$10 when he saw I was going to order. Cancelled and went on site ordered and got correct price and am crossing my fingers I get refund for 1st wrong drive and get the correct and NEVER go tiger bad direct again!

    I could feel the con on from the way the on phone reps dancing around. The time before I ordered three mini drives plus enclosures from a different co. my bank account got hit using my debit card # and I won't be surprised if it turns out to have been from TigerDrct when I hear from bank's security people. Will post results.

    Summary: I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews of TigerDirect. I've purchased equipment to build three different high-end machines, and in each case have been very pleased with their offerings, pricing, availability, and speed of shipping. I had a hardware problem once (dead power supply), and they quickly replaced it without issue or questions or pre-shipment. I've been impressed. Even when it came to building out a video editing machine, everything went well.

    I'm not sure why some of the folks had the experiences they did, but after purchasing from TG for two+ years, I've never run into any problems.

    I've been a TigerDirect customer for many years. In fact the first online purchase that I ever made was through them. Overall I've made purchases in excess of $15,000 on my Tiger account. That includes PC complete systems, bare bones systems, memory, video cards, sound cards, audio components and an HD TV.

    Delivery times have been as indicated on the purchase order, the products arrive undamaged and on the rare occassions that I've had a problem with an order (for instance an item arrived DOA) customer service made it good in a timely manner.     Summary: I order a cellphone from tigerdirect, after completing the transaction, they indicate this transaction is not allowed return. Moreover, when I received the cellphone, I found it was refurbished, which they didn't mentioned on their website, no FM radio, which listed on their website clearly. power plug is European round, not for North America.

    I also send a ticket to tigerdirect, but no reply from them.

    Summary: I ordered several products for Tigerdirect, and even with the awful delivery times, I needed one more part to finish a PC I was building and ordered from them one last and I repeat LAST time. Tigerdirect double billed my debit card for the product,(overbilling my account by $128.00) sending my account into default. With the addition of the $35.00 overdraft fee, the $163.00 total made other purchased I had made(which would have been covered without the absence of said funds) default. The total $280.00. Tigerdirect Customer Service "MANAGER" after admitting fault to the whole situation, informed me that their policy was to pay the initial $35.00 and nothing else, outting me a total of $245.00. Read reviews at Better Business Bureau about this company. I am not the only one.

    Summary: well this its my history

    i brought a computer in parts Motherboard, Processor, Memory, Video Card, Hard Drive, CPU cooler.

    they split the shipping in 2 packets the 1st packed arrived in arround 1 month (Im from venezuela) it had the CPU cooler and the memory it was fine but the second packet. was delayed one week since it had a struggle with the direction label missing or illegible and it was sent back to the shipper.

    when it finally arrived the packed which should contain the Procesor, Mother Board, Video Card, and Hard Drive... only had the Hard Drive the rest was just missing and im talking about CPU/MOBO Bundle Qx9650 and ASUS P5E3 Deluxe and Geforce 8800GT expent arround 2000 USD. the customer service SUCKS every time i call they say theyr trying to find the guy who made the order and thats log time on long distance phone call (since im from venezuela) let see what happens next but at this point im really pissed i will have to wait another month for what i already paid more than one month ago. their ineptitude its just amazing

    Summary: TigerDirect.com's 30 day price protection policy: "In the event our
    advertised price on an item falls within 30 days of your purchase date
    simply E-Mail us within 30 days of your original purchase date and we
    will issue you a Tiger Credit in the amount of the price drop good
    toward the purchase of anything else we sell."

    Last month I bought a Logitec Remote Control for $79.00. The week
    after, over President's Day, it was advertised for sale at $69.00. I sent
    them an email asking for the guarantee.

    The first reply I received said that they would not pay the guarantee,
    as the product was now $99:

    "We apologize for the inconvenience. Our records show that the price
    of this item is now $99. We are unable to issue a price match for the
    price you requested at this time."


    I wrote them back, to remind them that I emailed them about the lower
    price when the lower price was in effect, and that based on their
    guarantee, I should be reimbursed the $10 due to a lower price having been
    offered within 30 days of the sale.

    I received a second email telling me that they wouldn't honor the
    price guarantee because they don't provide guarantees on items with
    rebates:

    "Please note that the Tiger Direct Price Protection program does not
    include rebate offers. The Price Protection can only cover the
    original price of the item. We do apologize for the inconvenience."

    However, there was no rebate on my original purchase, and no rebate
    offered on their $69 price...I even sent them a picture of their ad, to
    prove it. With this email, I reminded them of their guarantee, and their
    obligation to fulfill a promise, and that I was likely to not do
    business with them again if they didn't honor their advertising.

    I received back an email granting the $10 as a credit - along with an
    insulting email that included:

    "The price protection
    policy we carry is one we have exclusively for customer service and we
    are in no way legally obligated to issue funds for changes in prices
    any
    more than we are obligated to charge you more if the price goes up a
    few days later."

    Wow - no understanding on their end of their obligations based upon
    their advertising! I am guessing the run-around they gave me is standard
    operating procedure at Tiger Direct for price guarantees, so I'm not
    buying from them anymore, even through I have bought from them for over
    10 years now. Egghead or Amazon for me from now on!

    No price is worth the headache. Use other online dealers like onecall, Buy.com ,Newegg. Skip Tiger Direct. They are just a calling center in Miami Florida with a bunch of guys just hanging out. Really this is true. Deliver center in Illionois and somewhere else.

    Summary: I ordered two RCA refurbished 32 inch LCD televisions from TigerDirect, paid $150.82 shipping ($1150.80 total) and received them in a timely manner. Christmas morning one of my kids got a broken TV, it arrived DOA and didn’t work right out of the box. This can happen to anyone, but rather than send a return sticker like many places, TigerDirect makes the customer pay return shipping. I paid $80 to return the TV and was offered an odd shipping credit of $36.45, I of course feel I should get my $80 back and get another TV sent out free, or at least the return my initial $75.41 (their customer service needs grammar and math help). I plan to take this up with the BBB, they can’t be of much help but at least I’ll try. Did I mention all I did was buy a non-functional television set? Rude customer service (Lisa & Gioconda), non-working product, I will never consider buying from TigerDirect again. This was my first purchase.

    Summary: Tiger Direct advertised the item for $59.95. That seemed like a very good price, so I bought. Tiger Direct then proceeded to charge me $99.95 for the item. Noticing the overcharge, I immediately contacted Tiger Direct and asked them to either cancel the order or correct the charge. Tiger Direct shipped the item a day later without either correcting the charge or canceling the order. I asked them to have it picked up, and they refused. They claimed that the item was never priced at $59.95, but I sent them 10 Internet links showing the $59.95 price. They still decided to charge me $99.95 and refuse to have the item picked up. If you want to be charged the price that you see and not an extremely inflated substitute price, don't shop here because once you've confirmed the order, there's no telling what will happen. You don't want a fight with your credit card provider on your hands.

    Summary: I bought a Palm T|X off of TigerDirect for $299 CAN. This is about $100 cheaper than it is in-store. The product met expectations, but getting it was the most testing experience imaginable.

    I ordered the product on Friday morning. The product had failed to arrive by Wednesday of the following week, so I decided to try and track it. After getting an "invalid order number" message, I called customer service to see what was going on. Told me that the order was still held up in Illinois because the credit department hadn't even ratified it yet! These people had 3 working days to ratify it. Don't even bother talking to them, they don't care about you. My order didn't ship until Monday of the following week! Luckily, UPS was A LOT faster. Product arrived on Wednesday.

    On the website, it explicitly says "ships within 24 hours". Instead, it took them 11 DAYS (264 hours, for comparison) to even get it on the road! Unbelievable. I've received things faster from eBay sellers in Japan. You can't beat TigerDirect's prices. Saying anything else would be a lie. But if you want to shop there, you better not be in a hurry to get something.

    Summary: I am fairly regular shopper of electronic and computer related items. No one has ever charged my credit card for unwanted and non subscribed items except TigerDirect. they not only charged an additional item at their own, on a different date, also failed to give me credit by saying that it will be free if you send the rebate. I can not understand that what I would do with that software which i never asked for? If you still want to buy at this criminal store, then "good luck" to you.

    Summary: There should be a not applicable section for customer service since I did not have to deal with them, but from the reviews I read I will give them an avarage. Point is I bought some parts: Case, power supply and video card. All came in perfect condition and in 4 days!
    All the paperwork was included so any questions on returns or exchanges are clearly explained. I have had the parts installed in my computer for about 2 weeks and no problems at all. I would buy again from them!!!

    Summary: I bought some computer parts here about a month ago and had trouble with the ram, it wouldnt work at all. So I called up and spoke with a rep possibly names larry, luis , leo who knows. The point is they assisted with with the upmost courtesy and even helped troubleshoot which I kow they dont have to!! They really went out of their way and refunded the costs it took for me to send them back the bad ram. Got my order back in three days! Wooo! I do not really know what problems customers have with TigerDirect so far first impression was great and I will keep positng for those spectators who say wait till your nest purchase

    Summary: There are a number of customer reviews on TigerDirect.com throughout the internet. While many customers have had their orders processed through this company without a hitch (good for them), the problems that abound with this company are ones where the customer HAS had a shipment problem and/or (heaven forbid) TigerDirect owes funds back to the customer (purchase refund, rebate, etc.) This company will take the customer's money at rocket speed, but is extremely slow to act when funds are due back to the customer. My experience with TigerDirect has been deplorable.

    I ordered a refurbished PREMIUM X-Box for son's intended birthday gift. What Tiger Direct shipped was an X-Box Core Console (without hard drive). Upon contacting them, they admitted their error and issued an RMA for merchandise return. Because time parameters were not feasible to wait for a replacement, we had to make last-minute arrangements to obtain the product elsewhere through a local store. Full credit to customer's credit card account was requested. TigerDirect policy, as stated by their representatives, is to "allow 3 to 5 business days to process the return, and then allow another 3 to 5 days to process the refund."

    As of the time of this report, Tiger Direct received the return 28 days ago (19 full business days) for which I have proof of UPS delivery and the name of the TigerDirect representative who signed for it. Also as of the time of this report, my credit card account has STILL not been credited.

    Have called Tiger Direct Customer Service several times and keep getting stalled off with them saying only that the return is "in process."

    This is inexcusable, given the fact that the reason for having to make the return in the first place was due solely and completely to Tiger Direct error.

    This is not the first time that Tiger Direct shipped incorrect merchandise to this customer. It will be the last time since my family will never again trust them with our business. It is a real shame how disreputably some merchants deal with their customers and how selective they are with how fast they do things.

    Summary: I consider myself a hard core online tech buyer. I buy absolutely everything online and use tigerdirect fairly frequently and saw these awful reviews and had to chime in. I've never had to use customer service, so would have liked to give that an n\a review but that's not an option on this site. Anyways, I've always been very happy with using Tigerdirect unlike buy.com and pcmall. And no, I'm not a tigerdirect employee like a lot of the negative reviewers are saying.

    Summary: Shipping estimates and order tracking is misleading and unreliable. For some reason, orders can get placed on hold for an undetermined length of time (my order took 5 days) just for processing, at which point you get an email telling you to call in and confirm before it gets shipped. The order tracking displays no information about processing delays, and when I called in they said there is no set turnaround time for processing. Customer service gave the typical response "sorry there's nothing I can do about this".

    Summary: Went to the store in Markam, Ontario.

    I brought my PC in for service as it was constantly crashing and sometimes would not boot up on the first attempt. The service rep. informed me that their dignotic estimate was $35 but should I agree to the service, it would be deducted from the repair. They later called to inform me that the motherboard had been replaced. When I went to pick it up, they charged me for the motherboard but refused to deduct the $35 from the labor. As the tech. who served me wasn't there, I was given the option of leavint the computer there for two extra days which was impossible as I desperately needed it.

    To make matters worse, when I brought it home, it kept rebooting so I had to bring it back. The tech there did some quick diagnostics and discovered a faulty power supply which was replaced - I only paid parts.

    This makes me wonder if they ever did teh origioal diagnostics? Further, tney were comletely dishonest in their qoute - unfortuantely, I did not get it in writing re: the estimate deducted from the labor.

    While I would use them for PC accessories, I will never use Tiger Direct for service as I could never trust them again

    Summary: I find it unusual that most of the “good” reviews on this site hardly ever mention a specific shopping experience. Most say “I have never had a problem”, or “I have always received my rebates”, etc. If all of these “good” reviews are true why does tiger direct have an unsatisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau? Also, why has the Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint against them (Docket No C3903). Like other websites this one seems to have fallen victim to the employees of tigerdirect trying to boost their ratings. To find the truth search the Federal Trade Commissions website at www.ftc.gov or the Better Business Bureau at www.bbbsoutheastflorida.org.

    ... I have several good experiences with them ... but they seems to get worse ...


    1. I bought a brand new bare bone computer from tiger direct
    2. they send me a used casing ...
    I know it is used, because one of the plastic that holds the screws are already cut
    3. that's not all
    the front case is also broken
    probably from shipping ... I never know ...
    I kept asking them this question, they never answer me ...
    4. of course, that's not all ...
    I don't want to install the whole thing, and tested using the broken case; because that means, I have to uninstall & re-install the whole thing.
    so, I ask them to send me a replacement; and wait for it, to install ...
    5. of course, it takes them, really really long, and I decided to buy different case from different vendor
    6. good thing, I can return the broken case easily; and even though I lost the shipping receipt, after asking them several times, they refunded the shipping fee ...
    7. because it takes so long to ship the case, I have to decide, if I want to return the whole things, or give them a chance ...
    I give them a chance ... BAD MOVE ...
    ... and I have to cut the UPC, in order to get the rebates, which, most of them, I haven't receive ... big surprise, right ?
    8. by the time I have the case and able to test it, the CPU/motherboard is not working
    9. at some point, I tried to call them, but got a hold forever
    so, I decided, I won't call them again, but use email instead. pretty fast in replying via email
    10. I tried to explain the whole situation;
    I'm asking, if I will get a full refund, even if I already cut the UPC; because of their fault ...
    but they just give me a generic reply ... sometime:
    - we have refund your case (which they did, but that's not the point)
    - it's up to the other department, if they want to credit you in full

    it seems that they didn't try to understand the situation
    I've sent them 50 emails or so

    in total, probably I lost about $400 due to this incident ... with that amount of money, I already bought a new computer ... much much better than the bare bone

    I've called & email with them, since a week after I receive the item (I order, sept 1, 2006). almost every other day ... and still doing it now ....

    if you have a good experience ... you are lucky, like me, for the first several times ...
    but you never know when is your bad luck day ...

    Summary: I have been to this store numerous times in the past. It's close to my house and I get a fair variety of products.

    However, the employees seem to be disinterested in helping you or in selling you a good product. There were once good employees there...but it's obvious that they left a long time ago because this store either treats them badly in some way or does not train them to provide good customer service.

    The check-out lines always take a very long time. Last year I waited almost an hour in a line! Does that even seem possible? Would any normal retailer permit this to continue?

    TigerDirect does. It does this and a host of other things that make me want to stop going there.

    Buyer beware...I would LIKE to shop here again...it will just take a lot of effort to convince myself.

    Summary: Purchased an $80 stick of RAM (after $30 rebate). Ended up paying $160 even after being promised a $15 refund to my credit card. Still waiting on the rebate 2 months later. Little to no response from customer service by email or phone. Every attempt to view an invoice or track an order results in an error on the tracking page. Website claims 24/7 phone support, yet the line is only open 7-5. Used to recommend them but after constant false advertising, horrible support, understated prices, high shipping, and an overall "I've just been scammed" feeling right after purchase, I will never shop here again.

    Summary: If mediocre is Tigerdirects standard for customer service then they have met and exceeded this requirement...they are ultra-mediocre.

    Ordered a Ultra power supply (ult-500p,3yr warranty) from them and within a couple of months crapped out, Ultra wanted me to pay for a new one, and Tigerdirect basically told me to F**k myself, not their problem rather then standing behind the product and making it right.

    Other problems-
    Ordered two new Samsung LCD monitors, came with fingerprints all over the screen and looked like refurbs...sent back

    Firewire adapter card came in crushed carton...sent back

    Customer service rep barely spoke English and would not state his name.

    Lessons learned, Tigerdirect is a subscriber to mediocrity and Ultra products are crap, if they had truth in advertising their website would be called www.ultratigercrapdirect.com and if I could give them negative stars I would do so.

    Summary: this onrebate program from tigerdirect is really awful, i bought few items from tigerdirect and onrebate accepted those rebate but didnt get the payments yet, its already past 8 months now, there is no way u contact with any representate from onrebate, it is even hard to find an email address of them, even if u email them, they tell you to call them at some number where u wont even get to talk with anybody, that thing is just computerize calling center where u will only be able to know the status of ur rebate, and if u wanna contact tigerdirect ur concern, they say, thats not their business to collect that rebate money for you! I highly recommend everybody not to buy anything from tigerdirect, www.newegg.com is way better than that f***ing crappy site.

    Dear Carl; I don't have a problem with the motherboard in fact I love it as well as all the other items I have been buying from you guys for the last 10 years or so.
    The problem I have with your rebate system, it is a RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!
    I'm not talking about the manufatcurers rebates I am talking about the clearing house you use for your rebates especially for the software by CA (Desktop DNA Migrator in particular) the salesman says buy it it's fre you get your money back.
    IN fact it is a real RIPOFF, you send the UPC and original receipts and all of they ask and then they send you an email saying everything is OK and claim is begin processm you shoudl get a check in about 5 weeks or so, then you get another mail saying congratulation you have successfully completed the application and submit recipt and UPC and on and on . . . AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! now I don;t have 2 sets of original receips nor UPC's that is reidiculous.

    You guys have frown too big and simply don't care about the customer any more,Í like you guys when you used to be a mom and pop stor with computer supplies a long time ago, now you/re just another money grabbing scum company with very low business ethics.

    Summary: $80 dollars later...

    After 3 months of waiting and a rebate form sent with delivery confirmation that they say was not received. I have had it with them. Tiger Direct is only as good as its suppliers. This supplier did not perform. I am out $80 and very annoyed. Without the $80 rebate the computer is not a good value. Its just an old machine without CDs to reinstall the OS if needed. Go elsewhere and buy an inexpensive new machine with OS CDs and save yourself the hassle. Avoid Tiger Direct and Joy Systems and their rebate rip offs.

    I built a barebones computer using TigerDirect.com. Each component (drive, motherboard, CPU, case, etc) shipped seperately from TigerDirect.

    SHIPPING TOOK OVER 3 MONTHS!! WHAT ARRIVED WAS BROKEN, OR SOON BROKE. THE REPLACEMENT PARTS (FedExed overnight) WERE ALSO BROKEN.

    Why did it take 3 months - and endless phone calls - to ship initially, when replacements could be sent overnight?????

    The one part drop shipped from the manufacturer arrived within a week.

    Needless to say, I lost out on all the rebates that made this a great deal, as the parts arrived after the rebate deadline.

    The customer service reps were miserable creatures that kept transferring me around. I spent at least 10 hours on hold with these rats. No, I am not exaggerating.

    NEVER EVER AGAIN.

They said they were going to issue a credit to my charge card, but they never did.     Of course I have not received(in the mail) the other rebate that was approved by their rebate company.

    In the past month, I've helped several friends select new computers. I made it a point to avoid TigerDirect computers and I told TigerDirect about this too.     Summary: After reading a few articles about 2 months back about rebate fraud, I knew shopping at Tiger Direct was going to be shady. They've had hundreds of complaints against them for failure to honor rebates and most of your stories go along with those investigative articles. Google around, you aren't the only ones being defrauded. And yes, what they're doing is in fact fraudulant.

    I make a point not to order anything online from them and never use a rebated item from the. I only use their brick and mortar store in Naperville, IL. Their staff is mildly human-like minus the time two of them wouldn't tell me how to copy dvds. I wanted to purchase a dvd burner and needed to know which format (+R, RR, -R) or whatever plays in regular DVD players. The staff told me it was illegal for them to tell me (LOL) how to do this. That was weak.

    So I walked down the blank dvd aisle, found a random customer who was buying blank dvds, and asked him. He told me exactly how to do it.

    Is Tiger Direct a semi-retarded company with a very bad history of terrible customer service? Absolutely. Do they have great prices if you can hit their brick and mortar store and speak to their troupe of monkey-employees as little as possible? OH YA. It's like best buy without the lines. Go in and get exactly what you need, don't order from or speak to them if you can avoid it.

    Summary: Tiger has good prices, but they screw you on rebates. I bought about six things that had rebates, four of which were with onrebate.com. I use a P.O. box as my billing address. The directions say you can't use a P.O. box, but instead must use a physical address. So I provided my physical address and those jerks denied it because the address didn't match my billing address. I called onrebate.com, waited a long time on hold, actually spoke to a very rude person who just brushed me off. When I explained that I would have been denied if I had used a P.O. box, he said that didn't matter and the rebate is still denied. I asked to speak with someone higher in his department and he said the person was busy and wouldn't talk with me now. He finally agreed to put me through to the supervisor's voicemail. When it actually allowed me to leave a message, it said the mailbox was full and hung up on me. These people belong in jail. I know tiger direct owns onrebate.com and I think that part of their company is crooked as heck, but they do have good prices on other things and they do deliver fast. The moral of the story is, avoid all products that include rebates. Maybe we need to report this to the justice department.

    Summary: I purchased a monitor in the local Tigerdirect Retail Store. I had moved recently and they had my old address in their database. The clerk said, "don't worry about it. it doesn't matter". But when I sent the rebate form to OnRebate, it was denied because my address didn't match the address on the tigerdirect receipt. It is IMPOSSIBLE to actually talk with a person at OnRebate. You get an automated response that hangs up on you after telling you the rebate is denied. They say "you should have read the requirements." But there's nothing on the requirements about the address on the receipt. Maybe TigerDirect purposely doesn't update customer addresses on the receipts knowing that the rebates will be denied.

    Summary: I bought a few items from tigerdirect.ca. The shipping was fast and the items were well packed. The problem is there customer service is awful. I had to phone them five times to get my shipping order correct. It was a really bad experience they were not polite at all.
    The only reason I would buy from them again is the price. But take catution if your product is broken or has any problems you will have to go through hell and back to get any thing done. The rebate service takes at least 2 months before you see your rebate.

    Summary: My wife bought me a Tiger Direct Gift Card for $100 and I have been trying to use it since December of 05. It is now March 4th and I am on my 4th order with Tiger Direct. I initially thought you could combine gift card & credit card. Well every time I attempted to combine them they charge the credit card the entire amount. The checkout page even states that the gift card has been redeemed and the credit has been applied. This is the final time I am attempting to purchase something from them.     Summary: I bought a seagate HDD from them with 40 dollars rebate. Now to get the rebate you have to go online, register your Paypal account, print out bunch of forms, then manually write fill them out and send it all back by mail. Now I did all that and I checked the contents of the envelop twice before I sent it and now they rejected it, saying my paperwork does not match. I'll be calling them to try to get my money back, but will stay away from OnRebate.com and TigerDirect.com in the future. They rebates program is dishonest and there is only maybe a 30% chance that you get your money back, after all the work it takes. Bastards

    Summary: Bought an off-lease NEC 19" CRT monitor in early December '05. After about 5 weeks of use, I noticed the image flickers, getting progressively worse the more I had the monitor on. Now, the top and bottom of the screen gets compressed and flickers non-stop to the point where I can no longer see the image. Called customer support (markham, canada), waited and waited, I hung up. Called the store finally and when the guy from tech support picks up, says I'm on my own, they won't touch "off-lease" CRT's past one month. WTF? Says I have to contact the manufacturer directly.     Summary: I ordered new computer parts from tigerdirect. When I put everything together, the system had issues running. I tried troubleshooting the problem and finally decided it was bad RAM. Called their customer service, and got an RA# with no problem. They even said they'd credit me $5 for shipping. I got the replacement RAM and had the same problem. I called tigerdirect and they told me to call the motherboard manufacturer (no suprise since tigerdirect is a online store, not an expert on all the specifics of the parts they sell) I was told that it was a compatibility issue with my motherboard. I called tigerdirect and explained this to the customer service rep. He told me I could still return both sets of RAM, with no restocking fee or anything (despite the fact that it was my fault for not reading up more on the RAM). I got a full refund and $10 total for shipping. They were a lot more curtious and helpful then most other companies' customer service reps. Because of their good customer service and fact shipping times, I'm definately ordering from tiger direct again.

    Tried to order 3 items online using a GiftCard from Tiger Direct. Their own system would not allow this tender due to a page programming error. (this is their own Giftcard)
    Placed the order on the phone for 2nd day delivery.
    After 5 days. I called to find out that it had not shipped, Order was mishandled. The offered to ship it next day air.
    But since it was a Friday it would not ship until Monday, But "I would receive it on Tuesday"
    Called Tuesday. It had not shipped but the promised it would that day.
    Called later Tuesday to verify it had shipped. It had not shipped once again because of their internal error.
    I am now still at this time trying to get this item shipped. And after some doing will be going thru a Supervisor on Wednesday.

    Summary: I have ordered from tigerdirect.ca three times. The only item I had shipping problems with TigerDirect.ca is when they placed an item on backorder. Then it took six weeks. Most of the time shipments arrive in 2-3 days. However, I have found any rebate with onrebate.com is bogus. I have send onrebate four different rebates. All of these they claimed they didn't receive. The first three I resubmitted to there resubmit address. Then they paid me each rebate 3 times. (Jackpot) The last rebate I sent in they claim they wouldn't accept a resubmit because I could not prove a postmark date. I have a fifth rebate I didn't bother to send in, because the cost of sending two sets of confirmed mail from Canada is more than the rebate. Overall, I have broken even to the amount I should have been rebated, but when I consider my time and effort it is not worth it.

    I have been very happy with the products. The sound on one of the lcd monitors is poor, but that is what was said in the customer reviews. I will order from them again, but I won't bother with the rebates.

    Summary: TigerDirect is pushing phony rebates. I have been waiting for about a year for my rebate and now I doubt that I'll ever see it.
    Customer Service, they don't seem to have any. If you call on the phone you will be put on hold and if you wait long enough you will be disconnected.
    I will never shop at TigerDirect again.

    Summary: Advertized a P4 chip as hyperthreaded which it was not. After my email they changed the description on their web site. It was printed on my reciept the chip was HT. Tiger told me I needed to contact the manufacturer (Intell????). Clear case of false advertizing to get a sale. Thank God this was just a minor rip off. Will not be getting my buisness again!!!!!!!

    Summary: I have been buying from TigerDirect for years now with no problems. I recently bought parts for a complete system ($700) and recieved them promptly as usual. BUT I sent the rebates off as stated on web site I sent off four rebates in one package ranging from $10 to $30 . The original Invoice was in there. They denied three of the rebates and accepeted the LOWEST rebate saying that there was no invoice on the other three. They riped me off for $70.
    I think that they are a scam. I will shop there again but will steer clear of the rebates

    Summary: Ordered some parts from TigerDirect and after I received the email invoice I noticed they overcharged me $100 for spyware software i never ordered. When i tried to cancel the order i had to talk to about 5 different people and waste about an hour on hold before they would cancel it.

    TigerDirect rebates are a scam too. I sent in two different rebates both twice and not one of the four rebates was received. This should be illegal, complete waste of my time and money.

    Summary: They are a total scam. The rebates are a fraud! Dont buy from them! They will send you generic brown boxes with no upc for the rebate, then deny the rebate because you havew no upc!

    Summary: i bought 500 bucks worth on tigerdirect. the shipping was way faster than i thought it would be i ordered it on saturday and got it tuesday and that was ups ground, people on sites say they dont keep their word on rebates, but friends i know that have ordered say that if you take the time to fill it out right that they do, all i know is i have 35 from manufactures and 80 from tiger so hopefully they keep there word so i can bring them more business

    Summary: I have been buying computer goodies from TD for 6 years now and have never had to return a bad product. However, in the last 6
    months I have found that their rebates are bogus. A three part rebate from SOYO - two were lost and one finally paid after I sent them 10 emails (they answered 2). I have $90 worth of rebates out on a Sceptre 19" LCD from OnRebate.com (which is owned by Tiger) and find out that their web-site for checking rebates has been down
    for 4 months now, and they don't take phone calls regarding rebates.
    Looks like TD has lost me as a customer, I'll do all my shopping at ZZF from now on..

    Summary: I ordered a refurb computer system from tigerdirect. The unit arrived in a standard shipping box with NO paperwork other than an invoice. When I applied for my rebate, I explained that there was NO UPC included with my computer purchase.

    My rebate was rejected: NO UPC. I never got a UPC because tigerdirect never gave me one.

    When I called tigerdirect, they told me that the UPC was on the shipping box. It was NOT. They lied to me. There never was a UPC on that box and they had no intention of honoring their rebate.

    I will NEVER do business with tigerdirect again and I advise all who read this to avoid doing business with these con-artists.

    Summary: Everytime I come across reviews about a company they are split into 2 categories, on one side you have the bad comments and the other the good ones. Now what strikes me is that the good comments never match up. They don't sound genuine, the user names used are always vague i.e 'Some tech guy' or 'someone106', and their comments always promote the company in the best way possible. Whats more their comments always seem to be directed at answering or correcting the points raised by the negative comments.

    I for one will never buy from Tiger direct after reading the negative comments, for as the truth points out they are all consistant with each other and we find the same problems arising, i.e Shipping neglegence or no rebate, therfore establishing that this company is a seriiusly unprofessional and over-rated.
    Furthermore I can't help but feel that Tiger-Direct staff are responsible for the positive reviews^^

    Summary: All I can say for the other reviewers is, make sure you know what you are buying beforehand and do not blame Tiger for Brand-X bad packing job. I have bought TONS of stuff from TigerDirect and it has all come on time and in great condition! The one time I did have to return something, I followed the instructions on the back of my packing slip and everything went smooth (funny how reading instructions fixes most problems). Rebates are a snap to find online, got my money, and everything works. I would definately buy from them again soon!

    Summary: I suggest that anyone tempted by the -almost to good to be true prices- research TigerDirects reputation (IT IS HORRIBLE). I bought a Soyo motherboard 6 months ago and am still waiting for the rebate. I got sucked in by the price again (stupid me) to buy a wireless pc card. I spent hours trying to make it work .... customer service was amazingly incompetent. It cost more shipping back and forth than the card was worth. I'm astonished that TigerDirect is listed in any bargain forum. Ignore their bargains ..... THEY ARE NOT BARGAINS.

    Summary: Shipping department needs to learn how to pack a PC!!! Mine arrived with hardly any padding and banged up - loose inside the box! When I took it out, I heard and felt parts fall to the bottom of it. I called and they said they'll send another BUT charged me AGAIN until they receive the defective one. Now I have to wait to receive an email from Tiger Direct, giving me an RA number so I can call UPS to pick it up. My rebate will be expired by then so no telling what kind of trouble I'll have getting it.

    Summary: First, the computer that I bought from them had a recall. So I sent it in. Only here, I got good service with my warrenty and got a full refund. The problem came when I had to wait weeks without a computer to get my refund gift card that could only be used at tigerdirects website. So after about 2 weeks without a computer, I finally got my gift card and ordered a new computer from them. It has been two more weeks for them to ship out my computer. This was after frequently calling them and reminding them to send it out. Often, they said they would ship it out that day, but I would call again days after to find out they forgot to send it out. I am extremely fustrated with them, and they are truely unprofessional. My work has suffered greatly (I need a computer to do my job and without it, I can't do anything.) DO NOT order from this company!

    Summary: Well, it still remains to be seen if they fix the problem... but I am writing this review even so because their customer service is incredibly slow to respond and quite honestly you are left wondering half the time if they will even get back to you.

    Bought a refurbished system. They are not as good new as the website says. The computer locked up after 12 hours and would never reboot. Seems like the graphics or ram died... I'm not sure. Be warned, if you get a defective product it will be up to you to pay to have it shipped back and their policy is that it is their sole discretion as to what you are entitled to... they will fix it, replace it, and POSSIBLY refund you. Also, to get a replacement for a defective product that they sent you... you have to contact eMachines tech support and get them to verify it's dead. Then you have to get a code from not only eMachines but also Tigerdirect. They go on to state that the slightest mistake on your part (so little as a missing piece of paper) will result in total denial of your claim.

    Also, to get rebates you have to go to onrebate.com, (which is on the same server and is registered under the same name). The onrebate.com website does not work. You will not get confirmation email. If you can finally contact them by email you will get a code that is no good because when you enter it at the website it just gives errors. They seem to respond to SOME emails but only with information that is not helpful.

    So far, though, Tigerdirect has at least been friendly if I could just get them to tell me what to do next. Although Im pretty sure even if I get my computer replaced I will never see the $75 rebate that was promised.

    Summary: I recently placed an order with TigerDirect for a Dane-Elec 256MB Compact Flash card because the price seemed very attractive after the $16 rebate that was posted on their site but never received the rebate.
    The card was for a friend of mine and I called the store to confirm that they had it in stock and that it would be shipped within 3 days. The customer service representative confirmed all this and also stated that there was a rebate of $16 on this item. I placed the order online but could not print the rebate form because I did not have a printer at home. After receiving the card I searched for the rebate form on TigerDirect’s site from my office and was surprised when no form matching my date of purchase could be found. Called their customer service and they assured me that the form would be sent by mail. Indeed I received a form but when I sent it to the rebate center they denied the rebate because the purchase was outside the period specified on the form. I called TigerDirect again and another representative told me that they never had $16 rebate on that item. I will never ever use this seller again simply because they lied to me.
    Be careful when buying from TigerDirect because the chances to get the rebate they offer are minimal.

    Summary: I ordered several items with rebate. On TWO items the UPC was missing. They said it is not their responsibility, that they have UPC. Thus I was blind and couldn't see the UPC on a tiny box. After that they just ignored me and my requests to investigate the issue. The customer comes last on their priority list. Profit comes first. They don't know that a happy customer will return to shop from the same store.
