Summary: We received a card in the mail with a promise of FREE DELIVERY. However, upon checking out, we discovered a $4.95 delivery charge tacked on to our bill. So, instead of saving the $9.95 delivery charge, we saved only $5.00. The advertising was very misleading. We called to complain, regardless who we spoke to, we got the same runaround, double-talk and justification for their "free delivery" claim. If they had savvy customer service, they would have simply apologized for the misunderstanding and refunded the $4.95. The way they handled it, they lost a customer. Plus, we are reviewing Vons.com everywhere we can to warn people of their very misleading advertising. In addition, the driver was late, needed to call us for directions, and then forgot to deliver 13 of our items.
